This Trucking Along Christmas card is a great way to use up some of those designer series paper scraps you have laying around. I cased this card from fellow demonstrator Julia DeGuia. I used retired DSP Painted Christmas & Tis the Season, but any Christmas DSP would work.
Supplies:
- Shaded Spruce Cardstock 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”
- Cherry Cobbler Cardstock 5” x 3 3/4”
- Scrap DSP (4) 3 5/8” x 1” and (1) 3 5/8” x 1 1/2”
- Scrap piece of white Cardstock and scrap piece of Cherry Cobbler
- Rhinestones
- Trucking Along stamp set
- Various Stampin’ Blends
- Scallop Die and Circle Dies
- Dimensionals
- Black Ink Pad
- Adhesive of Choice
After you have all your Cardstock and DSP cut to size, you’ll use a scallop die to cut the DSP that is 1 1/2”. Glue all the pieces down using your favorite adhesive. I tucked the excess of the scalloped piece under the piece above to make all pieces even.
Next, you’ll stamp the sentiment and truck & presents with black ink and then color with your Stampin” Blends. Then you’ll die cut it using a circle die of choice. Finally you will die cut and add a scalloped Cherry Cobbler layering piece.
I attached the final image to the card with dimensionals and finished the card off with a few rhinestones I had on hand.
I really love how this Trucking Along Christmas card turned out. This stamp set is so versatile you could use this same card format with non-holiday DSP for endless card theme possibilities.
