My June Paper Pumpkin kit arrived today and it did not disappoint. This month’s kit, Expressions In Color, came with enough supplies to make nine cards including an exclusive stamp set and two ink spots. That’s right…we got a bonus ink spot this month! Can you believe you get all this for just $22 including shipping?
Each kit comes with instructions and I usually always make one set of cards according to the instructions but then I may change it up a little and make some alternative designs. Tonight, I only made one card according to the instructions. I love the design of this card so I didn’t feel the need to change it up at all ~ it’s beautiful as is!
For my second card, I decided to use a sponge dauber and ink from my ink pads to color the back side of the floral vellum cut out. I used the new In Colors, Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Fresh Freesia and Soft Succulent. I also used these same colors to color the back of the “Thanks” vellum cut out. I embossed Fresh Freesia card stock with a retired floral embossing folder (I rarely get rid of my old embossing folders) and attached it to a Soft Succulent card base. I found that my Tombow glue with the green lid worked great to glue on the vellum cut outs by following the design lines with a very fine line of glue. I finished the card off with a few sequin embellishments that came in this month’s kit.
Finally, I think my favorite card I made tonight is this fun little Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent notecard. Both the card base and the card front came in this month’s kit. What I love most about this kit is how well it coordinates with the Artistically Inked Bundle. I stamped the flowers from the Artistically Inked stamp set in Pale Papaya and the leaves in Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent. I also stamped a sentiment using the exclusive stamp set in this month’s kit in Pale Papaya on one of the cut outs. I glued the leaves and used some dimensionals to attach the flowers, additional leaves and the sentiment. I also added some die cut gold foil leaves from the Artistically Inked Bundle and finished the card off with a little gold bow.
I hope you enjoyed these three card examples from the June Paper Pumpkin kit. Paper Pumpkin kits are such a great value and perfect for any level of crafter – whether you make the cards according to the instructions or get creative and change things up. The possibilities are endless!
Don’t miss out on next month’s kit! “The Adventure Begins” is sure to be another fun kit. It comes with everything you need to make 12 cards including an exclusive stamp set and ink spot for only $22/month including shipping. Sign up here.
