This is my first time joining the Ink. Stamp. Share blog hop. I’m excited to show you these fun No Cut Mini Liquor Boxes. I CASEd the idea from a fellow demonstrator, Cathryn Themann, who made a similar box with an adorable Christmas theme. I thought the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set and coordinating dies would be the perfect set to use to make No Cut Mini Liquor Boxes that could be used all year long.
I found this set of 5 Absolut Vodka mini liquor bottles at the local liquor store for only $6, so it makes these little gifts super affordable. The Absolut bottles are a little shorter and wider than some of the other mini liquor bottles, but I found that they all work just fine with this box measurements.
Measurements:
- Cut one piece of cardstock 11” x 1 3/4”, then score at 1/2”, 2”, 4 3/4” & 6 1/4”
- Cut DSP: (2) 4 3/4” x 1 1/2”, (1) 2 1/2” x 1 1/2” & (1) 1 1/4” x 1 1/2”
What I love about this box is that the possibilities are endless. You can use just about any color of cardstock you want with any designer series paper. I used the 2021-2023 In Color DSP and the Pattern Party DSP for my boxes along with Granny Apple Green, Polished Pink and Pale Papaya cardstock, but this would also be a great box to use up some of that retired DSP you have laying around or use some of the gorgeous Christmas paper from the new mini catalog to make some holiday gifts.
I attached all my DSP to the cardstock (front, top, inside and back) and then punched a hole with the smallest circle die from my Layering Circle die set (but if you have a 1/2”, 3/4” or 7/8” punch that would also work). I then glued the 1/2” piece by laying it flat as shown in the next picture.
Next I used a label punch (any label punch will work) to punch the top of my box.
I inserted my mini bottle of liquor and then stamped and die cut the cocktails and colored the little lime/lemon and umbrella with Blends before adding a little Wink of Stella to the cocktail.
Next I stamped my sentiments and then die cut them with the fancy larger circle die from Tasteful Labels and die cut my “Cocktails” sentiment before gluing them all to my box. I tied a bow around the neck of the mini liquor bottles with some coordinating ribbon as the final touch.
I just loved how these turned out and I can’t wait to give these No Cut Mini Liquor Boxes to my friends! They are going to love them!
