Stamping With Friends Favorite Sale-A-Bration Product Blog Hop

When I flipped through the new Sale-A-Bration catalog the first thing on my list was the adorable Counting Sheep stamp set with the coordinating Sheep Dies. I knew immediately that this was the set I wanted to use for this fun blog hop featuring our favorite Sale-A-Bration products. I used the Counting Sheep set along with the Biggest Wish stamp set to make this fun Happy Birthday Sheep card.

I love simple black and white cards with a pop of color. Don’t get me wrong, I love fancy cards too…but nothing beats a quick simple card. I thought it would be fun to use the black and white gingham checked designer series paper from the Pattern Party host DSP (only $18 with $150 order).

After cutting my black card base, basic white layering piece and gingham background DSP, I stamped the cute sheep in black Momento ink on a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock. Next I colored the sheep’s ears, face and hooves with a light black Blend before die cutting the sheep with the coordinating die.

I used the Biggest Wish stamp set for my sentiment using Real Red ink for the “HAPPY” and black for the “birthday”. Then I used a Tasteful Label die to cut out the sentiment and cut some balloons out of a scrap piece of Real Red cardstock.

I attached the sentiment to the card with Stampin’ Seal. The final touch to the outside of this card was stamping and coloring the cute birthday hat with a Real Red blend. I glued the hat and balloons to the sheep and then attached the sheep and balloons with mini dimensionals.

The last thing I did was cut a 5 1/4” x 4” piece of Basic White cardstock for the inside and stamped it with another sheep stamp. I then stamped and colored the hat with a Real Red Blend and glued it to my sheep. And there you have it! The cutest little Happy Birthday Sheep card.
