I am featuring the Sweet Strawberry bundle, the Berry Blessings retired Sale-A-Bration bundle and the Sweet as A Peach bundle at my next card class. I always make some sort of treat for my card class ladies. I thought this Lip Balm Holder would be the perfect way to showcase some of the Berry Blessing Designer Series Paper.
Directions:
I started with a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock (approx. 5 1/2” x 4 1/4”). I used the largest scalloped rectangle die from the Scalloped Contours die set to cut the base of this holder.
Next, I scored the base at 2 1/8” and then turned it and scored at 2 1/8” on the opposite end.
I cut a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock at 3/4” x 3”. I bent the piece over the lip balm so it fit snug and then taped (or glued) each end down as shown below.
Next, I cut 4 pieces of DSP at 1 3/4” x 3 3/8”. I used two different designs, one for the outside and one for the inside. I taped one design to the inside to cover the ends of the lip balm holder and the other design to the outside.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment onto basic white cardstock with Shaded Spruce ink. I used a sentiment from the coordinating Sweet Strawberry stamp set. I used Granny Apple Green ink to stamp the larger leaves and used a sponge dauber to add a little bit of Garden Green ink to the edges of the leaves and then use Rich Razzleberry to stamp the raspberry. I stamped the outside first and then the inside (with the ink stamped off once) and then finished it off with a Shaded Spruce stem. I used the larger round die from the Tasteful Labels dies to cut out the sentiment and then used some dimensionals to attach it to the lip balm holder. I used some Blackberry Bliss 3/8” striped ribbon to finish of the holder and tied it in a bow.
This lip balm holder was a fun little project and would work great with just about any Designer Series Paper…the possibilities are endless!
